Decriminalization of Marijuana in CT

On July 30th, 2011, the State of Connecticut passed legislation regarding the de-criminalization of marijuana (Bill 1014). This change in law lightens the consequences for possessing less than one half-ounce of marijuana in Connecticut. For more information on the bill, please visit the following website: State of Connecticut Substitute Senate Bill Number 1014.

Please note: marijuana is not legalized and, therefore, no changes have been made to the University of Connecticut Policy on Alcohol and Other Drugs. Marijuana is prohibited on campus. For the Policy on Alcohol and Other Drug on campus, please refer to The Student Code on the Office of Community Standards’ website.

AlcoholEdu

As part of our comprehensive alcohol prevention program, for the ninth year running the University of Connecticut is requiring that each member of the first-year class complete AlcoholEdu - an online, non-opinionated alcohol prevention program for college students.
